The Capitol Skyline Hotel in Washington, DC is a retro-chic spot with a rich history and a prime location. Originally built in the 1960s, the hotel is just under a mile from the National Mall and close to the Capitol. It’s known for its bold architecture and has even served as a venue for arts events and community programs.
The Hotel is currently closed while it goes under extensive renovations. Progress’ work, which included the removal of asbestos, lead based paint, and pcb caullk throughout the 7-story building, started the last week of May and is wrapping up ahead of schedule. Asbestos abatement included the removal of approximately 85,000 SF of Textured Ceiling and Spray-Applied Fireproofing, as well as a number of non-friable materials throughout.
